[b] Geneva, 21 February, ( [/b]The peaceful Swiss city of Geneva will witness a very peaceful march for peace on Wednesday, as the peace talks between the Sri Lankan Government and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) begins. Hundreds of Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims and their European friends will demonstrate against the blatant violations of the ceasefire by the LTTE.

The LTTE violated the ceasefire agreement over 3,000 times and killed the Sri Lankan foreign minister Lakshman Kadirgamar and hundreds of others during the 4 years of ceasefire beginning from February 2002.

A registered NGO in Geneva dedicated to the cause of promoting human rights and democracy, the Universal Campaign for the Protection of Democracy and Human Rights, has organized the demonstration on 22nd February which will take place at 2.00 p.m. in front of the Palais des Nations (United Nations Building) in Geneva.
