Sunil C.Perera - Reporting from Sri Lanka

Colombo, 08 November, (Asiantribune.com): Presidential candidate Ranil Wickramasinghe said that he has re-challenged Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakshe, the ruling party presidential candidate for a television debate on important issues the country faces.

Addressing election rallies held in Kolonna, Embilipitiya, Homagama and Maharagama, Mr.Wickramasinghe denied Mahinda Rajapakse’s all charges against him.

“The JVP and the JHU made baseless allegations against me and the UNP,” he alleged.

Ranil Wickremasinghe told: “They said that the UNP is trying to divide Sri Lanka. I tell you that UNP will never divide this country, but wish to move into a power sharing arrangement to end the ongoing ethnic crisis.”
