Rehabilitated Colonel T. Ramesh to take over LTTE’s Amparai – Batticaloa’s special command?

Colombo, 31 December, (Asiantribune.com): Rehabilitated Colonel Thambirajah Ramesh is expected to be reappointed as the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam’s overall Special Commander of Amparai – Batticalao districts, replacing the incumbent Colonel Bahnu, who is from Jaffna, and according to sources close to LTTE leaderships, he has so far not proved as a success story in the East as he was from Jaffna.

Colonel Ramesh who is the brother-in- Law of LTTE Navy’s Special Commander Thillayampalan Sivaneshan alias Colonel Soosai, was appointed earlier as the special Commander of the Amparai – Batticalao districts after Colonel Karuna broke away from the LTTE on 01 March 2004.

Right from the beginning it was reported earlier that Colonel Ramesh was a failure.

It all started when he approached the UNP Parliamentarian Ali Zahir Moulana to take the LTTE’s relegate Commander Colonel Karuna to Colombo and also to arrange him to settle down in a foreign country.
