[b]Reverting the Sri Lanka’s clock back[/b]

[b] Colombo, 06 March, (Asiantribune.com): [/b]Sri Lanka’s clock to be reverted back to the old time, to ease the problems mainly faced by the school going children.

President Mahinda Rajapakse has instructed the officials concerned to revert the clock to 30 minutes back on the 14th April 2006, the day of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year. A cabinet Paper in this regard will be submitted as early possible.

According to a press release by the Department of Information, President has paid utmost attention to the importance of changing time in accordance with the natural environment and considering the difficulties faced by the people as the clock was fixed 30 minutes earlier several years ago.
