[b]Colombo, 05 September, (Asiantribune.com): [/b]Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission’s representatives must be present at all the Sri Lanka Army’s boarder checkpoints, suggested Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam.

Representatives of the SLMM for the Batticalao district and Ilanthithrayan LTTE’s Political Head for the Batticalao district met on Saturday at the Kokkadicholai Pradeshiya Sabah Secretary’s office.

LTTE representative pointed out that LTTE cadres and general public are being harassed by Sri Lanka Army men at these boarder check points established between the Government’s controlled area and the LTTE controlled areas.

LTTE’s political head Ilanthithrayan expressed serious concern as the people are being harassed unnecessarily at these checkpoints.

That is why it was said that the Tigers have put forward this suggestion for immediate consideration.
