As Sri Lanka goes to polls with its General elections on April 8, here we go for an Opinion Poll on which party in your opinion, polls how much.

The elections still a month away, the mood of the people could sway from time to time. So our Poll will be for a month, until elections, but open for three days in a week ( Monday to Wednesday), bringing out weekly results. Also sum total of every week’s results computed in the last week of elections, and final opinion result will be published.

There are four recognized political parties and independent groups in the fray to select 225 legislators for the 7th Parliament at the General election.

The 225 member Parliament comprises 196 elected members and 29 members from the National List. The candidates from the National List are elected on the basis of election results while 196 candidates are elected to the Legislature under the PR system.
