Sri Lanka Polemics: Unpalatable Facts

S. Santhirasegara of Canada in a letter to the Editor writes, “We who were born in Sri Lanka at the time of independence and we should not feel jealous of our fellow Sri Lankans doing well, whether Sinhalese or Tamils. All should do well and prosper. Why complain some had more schools than others. If some areas require more schools the government has only to open new ones."

Unpalatable Facts
I am a regular reader of ‘Asian Tribune’. I like the frank and free discussions that are presently going on in the online news daily. I find the letters of Asoka Weerasinghe of Canada nauseating and lacking in culture. Please give me some space in your columns to give my views for the readers.

Why complain some had more schools than others. If some areas require more schools the government has only to open new ones.
