[b]Sri Lanka President to brief the south political parties on the ceasefire talks.[/b]

[b]Colombo, 17 February, (Asiantribune.com):[/b] President Mahinda Rajapakse will meet representatives from all political parties in Colombo to brief them of the developments on the scheduled ceasefire talks in Geneva on February 22 and 23.

Representatives from all political parties representing the Parliament are expected to participate in this all party conference to express their view on the ceasefire talks.

Many parties which were critical on the peace process had expressed their happiness over the manner President Rajapakse handling the talks with the LTTE.

"We appreciate the recent statement made by the President in an interview with the Reuters new agency rejecting the LTTE demand for separate Tamil homeland", Jathika Hela Urumaya or the National Heritage Party MP Ven. Athuraliye Ratana thera said.
