Colombo, 15 January, (Asiantribune.com): The Tamil National flag is the symbol of tomorrow’s independent Tamil Eelam. This was revealed in a handbook on the Tamil National Flag. Recently released handbook has generated a keen interest locally and internationally at the backdrop of the ongoing ‘Stealth War,’ the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam has launched against the Government of Sri Lanka on 07 December 2005, when 7 Sri Lankan Army soldiers were killed in a claymore attack at Kondavil, in the Jaffna district.

The handbook strictly codifies the proper use of the National flag. It calls for the daily flying of the Tamil Eelam National Flag in the day time in all the LTTE offices and the Tamil Eelam Embassies in foreign countries.

The handbook further reveals, "The national flag is a messenger that demands freedom, justice and illustrates the courageous freedom struggle. The flag is also being the symbol of tomorrow's country of independent Eelam."
