Tamil Resurgence Conference and Sennan Padai

Colombo, 20 January, (Asiantribune.com): Sennan Padai (Force), an unknown armed group, has warned all school principals, teachers students as well as the ordinary civilians in Batticaloa not to participate in the Tamil National Resurgence Convention expected to be held today at Ambalanthurai, a Tamil Tiger control area in the Paduvankarai region.

This was the same Sennan Padai, earlier an unknown organization, claimed responsibility for the killing of Tamil National Alliance Member of Parliament, Joseph Pararajasinghamon 25 December 2005, in a Church in Batticaloa.

According to a report, notices were seen pasted in all the leading schools, as well as in so many public places in Batticaloa, warning people, students, teachers and principals not to participate in the convention, which is organized by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam.

Warning posters stated that Prabakaran and his problems are different and the Tamils and their problems are different.
