Colombo, 21 April, (Asiantribune.com): Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam has informed Norway’s Special Peace Envoy Jon Hannsen-Bauer that they are not participating in the Geneva Talks scheduled to take place on 24th April. They have also pointed out that people have lost patience as the army frequently launches attack against them. People have now begun to launch counter attacks against the armed forces.

Jon Hannsen-Bauer met S .P.Tamilselvan, Head of the Political Wing of the LTTE on Thursday morning in Kilinochchi. At this meeting it was reported that the rebel outfit made their position clear on the proposed talks in Geneva.

After the meeting, Tamilselvan met the media personnel and briefed them the outcome of their discussion with the Norwegians. Tamilselvan’s briefing was in Tamil and the unofficial version of the English translation is given below:
