Tigers demands for more prisoners release to set free both

Tigers demands for more prisoners release to set free both the Sri Lanka policemen

From our Colombo correspondent

Colombo, 18 February, (Asiantribune.com): Tamil Tigers yesterday demanded the release of four more LTTE cadres, for them to release both Policemen who were taken under their custody in September last year when they strayed into the Tiger controlled area in Mannar in their bid to arrest a foreign pedophile.

The LTTE promised to release only one Policeman in response to the release of four Sea Tigers under Government custody on bail from the prison in Trincomalee.

"The Policeman will be freed without any bail probably on Saturday or Sunday and the other Policeman under custody will be released if Government releases another four of our men under their custody", a Tiger spokesman in Kilinochchi said.

However, there was no response from the Government side whether they would release another four LTTE cadres under their custody to secure the release of the other policeman.
