TNA seats in parliament go to the dogs

TNA seats in parliament go to the dogs

Colombo, 03 February, (Asiantribune.com): When security checks were made by STF yesterday before the Sri Lanka’s parliament met, the sniffer dogs doing the rounds stopped near the seats of the TNA MPs in the back row and refused to move. A mysterious parcel was found near the seats of the TNA MPs. This roused the suspicions of the Police who reported the matter to the Speaker, W.M.S. Lokubandara. He summoned an urgent meeting of party leaders and adjourned the sittings.

In the meantime, TNA MPs, the proxies of the LTTE, moved to the well of the House to demonstrate. They were going to protest against the alleged abduction of the TRO workers.

On the way they surrounded Douglas Devananda, a cabinet minister and the leader of the EPDP who has survived eleven attempts on his life by the LTTE assassins. They started shouting at him. He shouted back "Kudurai" (horse) Gajendran. "Benz" Gajendran (his father Kumar Ponnambalam collected eighteen Mercedes Benzes) were also performing and ilavu Eelaventahn (whose death has been feigned at the last parliamentary session and he was kept as a corpse and his death was mourned by the TNA parliamentarians) for the benefit of Prabakaran.
