Towards a peaceful settlement and SL elections

Towards a peaceful settlement and SL elections

In a letter written to "Asian Tribune," it was pointed out that Tamils can forgive and forget all the atrocities committed by the Sinhalese only if they return to the Tamils their lands. Sinhalese have seven provinces and they do not have to encroach on the Tamil Northeast homeland. They can come and live as peaceful civilians.

S. Makenthiran from Canada in his letter to the Editor has put forward umpteen conditions for including Sinhalese in the Tamil Muslim family in Sri Lanka.

The full text of his letter is given below :

I wish to respond to Ira de Silva’s letter. I was never a member of the LTTE.

Why Sinhalese cannot be included in the Tamil-Muslim family:

As long as 40,000 Sinhalese armed forces of occupation are occupying Tamil homes, hospitals, schools, temples churches and public buildings, Sinhalese are not welcome in Jaffna or any part of Northeast (Eelam). The armed forces should leave. Sorry we cannot include the murderous Sinhalese armed forces of occupation in our family.
