Islamabad, 05 February, (Asiantribune.com): Two persons were killed and twenty-seven others injured in a train crash, second in a week, in eastern Pakistan on Saturday.

Eleven coaches and engine of the train derailed between Samma Satta and Kalanchwala railway stations near Bahawalpur.

According to railway officials the train was derailed, as a fishplate was unscrewed.

Hundreds of passengers made their way out by breaking windowpanes, groping in the pitch darkness of night.

Railway track has been repaired and traffic restored between Lahore and Karachi after five hours of derailment of Lahore-bound Karakoram Express coming from Karachi, they added.
