[b]Islamabad, 15 February, (Asiantribune.com):[/b] Two protestors were killby private security guards of a bank in the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore on Tuesday as nationwide protest demonstrations were held against the publication of blasphemous caricatures in the western press.

Demonstrations were held in all the four provinces of the country.

Interior Minister Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao said some miscreants burnt tyres, vehicles and damaged various buildings in Lahore. Some buildings including the provincial legislative assembly were also set on fire.

The Punjab Chief Minister, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi said miscreants who indulged in unlawful activities during peaceful demonstration would be apprehended and given punishment. He said two persons were killed during the violence.
