UK Hindu temple donates 168,000 British pounds to Eelam
From our London Correspondent

London, 20 July, (Asiantribune.com): The Chairman of the Sivayogam Trust, Nagendran Seevaratnam, told the “Asian Tribune” yesterday that the Trust which owns the Arul Mihu Muthumari Amman Temple at Tooting, has contributed 168,000 British pounds towards relief and rehabilitation works”. He added that in the Temple’s report for the year ending 31 March 2005 showed a net income of British Pounds 218,000 over the expenditure, from which the donation of £168, 000 was made.

Seevaratnam said that he “supported the LTTE 200 per cent”. He is a committed to the struggle for self determination. Commenting on the dispute with his brother-in-law, Jayadevan Rajasingham over the ownership of the Eelapathieswarar Aalyam, he said that he agreed to take over the Temple in good faith without realizing that Jayadevan and Vivekanandan were staging a drama. He refused to accept that Jayadevan was an ardent supporter of the LTTE, but pretended to be a supporter only to collect funds in the name of the LTTE and was a supporter of the EPDP whereas Jeyadevan said that he had contributed earlier regularly to the LTTE funds.
