What measures does Canada propose to take against Liberation

What measures does Canada propose to take against Liberation Tigers Of Tamil Eelam?

In an e-mail communication sent to Ms. Anne McLellan, the Deputy Prime Minister of Canada, Sri Lanka United National Association of Canada has asked “we have yet to hear of any steps against Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, the terrorist organization in Canada, which allows it to conduct wide scale propaganda by operating several newspapers and broadcasting stations to shore up support and also raise funds for its terrorist warfare in Sri Lanka.

Letter further underlines “We also understand, that the Canadian Tamil Congress (CTC), a well known front organization of the LTTE, which surfaced after it was designated an international terrorist organization by the UN Security Council in September 2001, is launching a book written by Anton Balasingham, the well known Tamil Tiger leader in the UK, at the University of Ottawa on September 30, 2005.

Mr. Balasingham is responsible for the killing of nearly 700 police officers in the eastern province who surrendered themselves to the LTTE on the assurance given by him to Sri Lanka’s late President Premadasa during direct talks held with the government in Colombo, that they would be released at a pre-determined location, only to be led into the jungle, ethnically sorted, tied up and to be machine gunned.
